Faculty computer refresh program

The university now has a program to refresh full-time and LTA faculty computers every four years. If you are a new professor and don’t know if you are on our list, please fill out this form: https://forms.office.com/r/2yB7f9rDLP. You will then be placed on a waiting list. You can contact us at any time by emailing cda@concordia.ca to find out when your computer refresh is coming up.

If you can’t wait for the computer, you can always use your PDA funds to buy one, but then you’ll be placed on year four of the refresh.

The allocated amount for your computer is $2500 including tax. You must purchase a laptop with a three year warranty and the university does not let you top up with PDA funds for a better machine (please don’t shoot the messenger). You can of course use your PDA funds for peripherals such as monitors, scanners, printers, etc. Usually if ordering a Mac laptop, the entire amount of $2500 is used up by the laptop. If you decide on a Concordia standard Windows laptop, then there should be funds left over for you to request extra peripherals.
